Terms of Service
Version: 2026-10-13
1. About the service
Underskriv.nu is a digital signing service and part of the DOKMARK product family. You can upload a PDF document and collect electronic signatures from 1 to 20 signers per case.
The service can be used by both private individuals and businesses. You do not need to create a user account. You confirm your e-mail address with a one-time code, and you access your case through a personal management link sent to your e-mail.
2. Seller and customer service
The service is sold by ENGHOLT ApS, CVR 44314185, Møllegade 11A, 9000 Aalborg C, Denmark.
Customer service: kontakt@underskriv.nu. We answer enquiries on weekdays.
The company is expected to change its name. Until a change of name has been registered, ENGHOLT ApS is the seller.
3. What the service provides – and what it does not
Underskriv.nu provides simple electronic signatures (SES) under the eIDAS Regulation. We do not provide advanced (AdES) or qualified (QES) electronic signatures.
For each signature we record: the signer's name as entered by the sender, the e-mail address the signer has confirmed with a one-time code, the time of signing, the document's checksum (SHA-256), the consent to sign electronically and technical information (hashed IP address and browser information). The final document receives a signature certificate and an audit trail.
We do not verify signers' identity beyond their e-mail address. An electronic signature may not be denied as evidence solely because it is electronic, but its specific legal effect depends on the nature of the document and the applicable law. Some documents require a different form of signature or paper. It is your responsibility to assess whether an SES is sufficient for your purpose.
4. Creating and paying for a case
You create a case by uploading the document, confirming your e-mail, entering signers and, optionally, an invitation message. The price depends on the number of signers, see the Payment Terms.
You pay for the case either directly or with signing credits. The case and the list of signers are locked on payment. The amount is calculated by our server from the stored list of signers.
5. Credit packs
You can buy prepaid credit packs. One credit covers one case with up to 5 signers; 6–10 signers require 2 credits, 11–15 require 3 and 16–20 require 4.
Credits are valid for 24 months from the date of purchase and can be used for several cases. They are linked to a credit code sent to your confirmed e-mail. The code can be shared with others, e.g. colleagues; anyone who knows the code can use the credits. Credits cannot be exchanged for cash.
Expired credits cannot be used. Whether unused, expired credits give a right to a refund has not been settled.
6. Delivery
Delivery of a case begins when payment has been confirmed and the case is sent for signing (invitations are sent, or you open the signing yourself). Delivery is complete when all signers have signed and the final document with certificate has been made available – or when the case has been declined or cancelled.
A credit pack purchase is delivered when the credit code has been issued. Each individual case is delivered when the credits are used, as described above.
7. Refunds and payment disputes
If a payment is refunded in full, any remaining credits in the pack are blocked, and a case that has not yet been sent is not sent for signing. In the case of a partial refund, remaining credits are blocked until we have reviewed the matter manually.
If the cardholder disputes the payment (chargeback), remaining credits are blocked until the dispute has been decided. If the dispute is won, the credits are released. If it is lost, the remaining credits are cancelled.
Credits already used and completed signatures are not changed retroactively.
8. Right of withdrawal for consumers
If you are a consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Danish Consumer Contracts Act. The period runs from the conclusion of the contract.
The right of withdrawal does not lapse because you pay, nor because the invitations have been sent.
Single cases: Before you pay as a private customer, we ask you to expressly request that delivery begins immediately and to acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully delivered. Without this request the case cannot be sent for signing. We store the time and the exact wording, and you receive a confirmation in the e-mail containing your management link. The service is fully delivered when everyone has signed, or when the case has been declined or cancelled. If you withdraw before that point, the law may require you to pay a proportionate amount for the part already delivered.
Credit packs: A credit pack is not considered delivered merely because the credit code has been issued. You can withdraw from the purchase within 14 days. If you use credits on a case, the rules for single cases apply to that case, and you make the request for immediate delivery when the credits are used. How partly used packs are settled has not been determined; enquiries are handled manually.
Credits are valid for 24 months. Expiry does not in itself give a right to a refund; this does not limit your statutory rights.
You withdraw by using the form at underskriv.nu/fortryd or by sending an unequivocal statement to kontakt@underskriv.nu. You receive a receipt confirming that we have received it. The receipt is not a decision; we handle the enquiry manually and reply by e-mail. Any refund is made to the payment method you used.
Businesses have no right of withdrawal and do not need to make the request for immediate delivery.
9. Your responsibility
You are responsible for the content of the document, for having the right to share it with the signers, and for names and e-mail addresses being correct.
The service must not be used for unlawful, misleading or infringing content or for sending unsolicited communications.
10. Availability and liability
We aim to keep the service available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. The service may be unavailable due to maintenance, supplier failures or circumstances beyond our control.
Towards businesses, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the case or credit pack concerned, and we are not liable for indirect loss. Towards consumers, the mandatory rules of Danish law apply; nothing in these terms limits the consumer's statutory rights.
We are not responsible for whether a signed agreement is valid or sufficient for a particular purpose, see section 3.
11. Complaints and governing law
If you wish to complain, please contact us first at kontakt@underskriv.nu.
If you are a consumer, you can complain to the Danish Board of Appeal (Nævnenes Hus), Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, Denmark, via naevneneshus.dk.
The contract is governed by Danish law.
